Elevating Safety Solutions is proud to announce it has become a supporter of the Lift Industry Mental Health Charter.

The initiative aims to bring together companies and individuals in the lift industry to help tackle issues surrounding mental health and create a safer, more supportive work environment.

Protecting employee and client wellbeing has always been a  priority  at ESS, and joining this initiative is an expansion on that. We are committed to not only promote the charter to other businesses in the industry, but also to implement additional measures within our own company, such as carrying out stress and mental health risk assessments.

This issue is something which has always been highly important to our founder, Stewart Proctor. Stewart is trained as a mental health first aider, a role which sees him provide help and advice for any clients who might be experiencing emotional distress. The duty of care and responsibility for others is something he has since embedded within the culture of ESS.

He said: “My role as a mental health first aider has shown me first-hand the impact stress can have on someone’s wellbeing. I help in any way I can but there’s only so much one person can do.

The Lift Industry Mental Health Charter is doing a great job of bringing everyone in the industry together, ensuring support is more readily available should anyone need it. That’s why I had no hesitations about getting involved.”
