Also known as a wire rope grip or clip, it provides a secure load-bearing eye on a piece of wire rope by looping the wire around and clamping it down to keep the wire in position. The clamp has a U-shaped bolt and a bridge that’s secured with two nuts. This Toolbox Talk covers the requirement for U-Bolt wire rope grips according to EN 13411-5.
